At Rockfield Medical Centre we endeavour to provide the best patient care possible. Therefore by registering with us we will help you reduce and stop some medications, which can have long term problems and side effects. Frequently medications can cause dependence and are not suitable for long term use and as such have negative health outcomes. Further information and guidance is available through NHS inform website.
Upon registering with Rockfield Medical Centre your medication will be reviewed and we will endeavour to reduce and stop the following groups of medication. This list is not exclusive.
- Benzodiazepines (Diazepam, Lorazepam, Temazepam)
- Sleeping tablets (Zopiclone, Zolpidem)
- Opioids (Tramadol, Morphine, Codeine, Oxycodone)
- Gabapentinoids (Pregabalin (Lyrica), Gabapentin)
